Overview

The Professional Certificate in Training Design and Delivery will teach your staff how to design and deliver effective, interactive training sessions to individuals and groups of people.

As an experienced train the trainer trainer I will take participants, step-by-step, through everything they need to know to become an excellent trainer – from writing objectives, delivery techniques, assessing learners and managing challenging learners. The programme will help deliver vibrant memorable training sessions. 

The Professional Certificate in Training Design and Delivery is informal and highly participative with plenty of opportunities to share ideas, take part in exercises, group work and practice new skills and learn from fellow participants. Participants will receive valuable peer and trainer feedback.

The programme is aimed at:

People in a business who have training responsibilities

People who are required to train others in the workplace and have no or limited experience training

People who may be aspiring to be a full time trainer 

Also support people who are required to deliver prewritten training material

By the end of the 5 day programme participants will be able to:

• Write learning outcomes that will inform programme design and delivery of teaching and learning                       • Prepare a structured practical training session and a structured group training session that follows a clear plan in a logical order that meets the specified learning outcomes                                                                                     • Identify best practice strategies for delivering an effective training session  

• Establish a clear set of assessment criteria suitable for measuring the impact and effectiveness of teaching and learning against the learning outcomes                                  

• Recognise the importance of reflecting on own performance and the impact that an honest personal appraisal can have on improving own performance and quality of session, content and resources                                            • Confidently deliver prepared training sessions that demonstrates implementation of training strategies, techniques and positive behaviours outlined throughout the PCTDD programme
