Overview

This WorldHost Business Ambassadors workshop has been designed to empower employees, volunteers and / or other business or events personnel with the skills and knowledge which will allow them to deliver a warm and friendly welcome to customers and visitors.

 

The ½ day programme (4 hours) is adaptable for multiple environments, easy to contextualise and is presented in a fun, participative and interactive way, placing a strong focus on ‘active learning’ that will, in turn, make it easy for you contextualise the workshop content back into your day to day job role.

This WorldHost Ambassador programme was used to train thousands of ambassadors and volunteers for the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympics.  IT is perfect for training staff and volunteers at sport, cultural or tourism events of any size. 

 

The WorldHost Ambassador programme can also be used as part of an induction programme for new starters

The WorldHost Ambassador programme is flexible in delivery and it can be customised for your organisation and industry. It is also dynamic and supported by excellent resources and practical fun activities.

 

Aims & Objectives

At the end of the WorldHost Business Ambassadors workshop participants will be able to;

          

  • Identify what an Ambassador is, and why they are important

  • Understand the key knowledge, skills and behaviours that is befitting of an Ambassador

  • Apply basic principles of customer service throughout the duration of a customer’s journey:

  • Identify and understand who your different types of customer are

  • Cater for the needs of different customers

  • Create a positive first impression

  • Manage / anticipate frequently asked questions (FAQs)

  • How to leave a lasting impression

 

Delivery Style

The workshop is classroom based with an active learning ethos focussed on group participation and engagement. A short multiple-choice assessment will be completed at the end of the session to test your knowledge. Participants are not required to bring anything other than an open mind, a positive attitude and a willingness to contribute.
